The
indigenous state of the art Multi-Role capable Advance Light Helicopter ALH
Mk-3 of the Indian Navy undertook a maiden operational deployment at strategic North
East Air Base INS Kohassa in Andaman and Nicobar islands.
ALH Mk-3 with advanced sensors and maritime surveillance capability, was inducted in active service of the Indian Navy.
Recently this induction has enhanced the operational capability of the Indian Navy in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).
It is a shining example of Self-Reliant India (Aatmanirbhar Bharat) push of the Government of India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
