Boeing offers Advanced E7 Wedgetail AEW&C Aircraft to India

Boeing President and CEO Dave Calhoun met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and assured his commitment to Self-Reliant India Campaign (Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan).

Boeing has said that after Qatar, India and Japan had shown interest in procuring the E7 Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft.

Boeing has now offered the platform to these three countries.

Boeing E7 Wedgetail is based on the Boeing 737 Next Generation Platform and it has a range of 7,040 kilometers and features an advanced Northrop Grumman Multi-Role Electronically Scanned Array Radar and 10 state-of-the-art mission crew consoles which can track airborne and maritime targets simultaneously from a range of 600 kilometers.
