DRDO starts process for the manufacturing of 4th prototype of HSTDV

The DRDO has started the procurement of Signal Conditioning System for the fourth prototype of Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV) that will act as an interface between sensors and systems.

The fresh trials of Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle in 2022 will pave the way for the development of two hypersonic cruise missiles that are likely to get official sanction in 2022.

The first will be a surface-to-surface hypersonic cruise missile with a range of 2,500 kilometers that will enter service by 2025 and the second will be a smaller and compact Air-Launched Hypersonic Cruise Missile with a range of more than 700 kilometers
