HAL to use Special Purpose Vehicle for IMRH and DBMRH manufacturing

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has released a Request For Proposal (RFP) for engagement of consultant as transaction advisor for formation of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for Indian Multi Role Helicopter (IMRH) and Deck-Based Multi-Role Helicopter (DBMRH) program.

The IMRH and DBMRH program will see a Public-Private partnership and it will be manufactured by a Special Purpose Vehicle comprising of multiple companies.

The Indian Multi Role Helicopter (IMRH) is a Medium-Lift helicopter currently under development by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the Indian Armed Forces.

It will be used for Air Assault, Air Attack, Anti-Submarine, Anti-Surface, Military transport and VIP transport roles.

IMRH is aimed to replace all the current Mil Mi-17 and Mil Mi-8 helicopters across the Indian Armed Forces.
