MoD releases RFI to procure 250 Long Range Satellite Guided Missile (LR-SGM) from Indian vendors

The Ministry of Defence has released a Request For Information (RFI) to procure 250 Long-Range Satellite Guided Missile (LR-SGM) from registered Indian vendors.

It will have a range of at least 220 kilometers and the operational requirements mentions that it can be a Supersonic or a Hypersonic missile.

The LR-SGM missile will be an all-weather day and night standoff missile that can be equipped with multi-purpose warhead configuration suitable for various types of targets.

The LR-SGM missile will be installed on fighter jets of the Indian Air Force using standard suspension system.

The delivery of the first production model will be done in two years from the date of award of contract and all 250 units should be delivered within 48 months from the date of award of contract.
