In response
to the Indian Army's Request For Information (RFI) for the procurement of 800 Light
Armored Multipurpose Vehicles (LAMVs) TATA Motors will offer its defense combat
Light Armored Multi-role Vehicle (LAMV).
TATA LAMV is a 4x4 Light Patrol Vehicle that features all composite detachable gripod, a full 360 degree azimuth turret with a seating capacity of four personnel and two crew members.
It has a maximum road speed of 105 kilometers per hour and can be equipped with charge-coupled device, cameras, thermal imaging systems and laser range finder.
The open top turret is mounted with a 12.7 millimeters machine gun and can be optionally armed with a range of weapon stations, smoke grenade launchers and automatic fire detection and suppression system.
