After
integrating Indigenous LCA Tejas Mk-1 fighter, Indian Air Force is going to
integrate Israeli I-Derby ER (Extended Range) Beyond Visual Range Air to Air
Missile (BVRAAM) on Russian Sukhoi Su-30MKIs.
The captive flight trial of the Israeli I-Derby ER air-to-air missile from an IAF Su-30 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force is near completion.
The user trials of both the 140 kilometers range I-Derby ER missile and the 160 kilometers range Astra Mk-2 BVRAAM will be carried out this year and both long-range missiles will further boost the air-to-air capability of the Sukhoi Su-30MKIs.
