IgMp had reported last year that the Indian Armed Forces had initiated a process to procure 220 Air Defense Guns and the MoD issued RFP then and extended it several times as German company Rheinmetall was setting up a joint venture with an Indian firm for their SkyShield Air Defense Gun system and those guns will be manufactured in India under technology transfer.
