Paras Aerospace to showcase new HALE UCAV at Defence Expo 2022, identical to Turkish Bayraktar Akinci UCAV

Paras Aerospace turboprop powered High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) UCAV

India's Paras Aerospace has released a picture of an Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) that will be showcased at Defense Expo 2022 next week.

The High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) drone has been indigenously researched and designed by the company in India that features a conventional mid-wing design and will weigh around 5 tons and can carry over one ton of payload on its eight hard points that includes laser-guided munitions and lightweight micro munitions.

It will be powered by two turboprop engines and the winglets will increase its operating efficiency by reducing the induced drag at the tips of the wings while the Electro-Optical pod is placed under the belly.

Paras Aerospace has said that it can be equipped with electronic support and countermeasure systems, dual satellite communication systems, air-to-air radar, collision avoidance radar and advanced synthetic aperture radar.

It looks exactly similar in configuration and profile of the recently unveiled HALE UCAV by Turkish drone maker Bayraktar which was named Akinci UCAV and which may land in Pakistan. Now Indian Armed Forces gets an indigenous counter to the Turkish Bayraktar Akinci UCAV with the unveiling of Paras Aerospace-designed HALE UCAV.
