INS Vikrant to get Barak-8 LRSAM & MF-STAR this month

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) will complete the installation of 100 kilometers range Barak-8 Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (LRSAM) system and the MF-Star Multifunctional Digital Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar on INS Vikrant this month.

INS Vikrant will also be integrated with 50 kilometers range Vertically Launch Short Range Surface-to-Air Missile (VL-SRSAM) for intercepting sea skimming aerial threats to the Aircraft Carrier.
