The Indian Air Force will conduct a massive Aerial Warfare exercise over Arunachal Pradesh on the 15th and 16th of December and India has also issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) warning over multiple eastern states bordering China for the exercise.

Frontline Sukhoi Su-30MKI and Dassault Rafale F3R fighter jets along with Prachand and Apache attack helicopters will participate in various multi-aircraft combat drills by day and night, simulating complex aerial scenarios involving large formation, combined force engagements in a dynamic warfare environment.

This exercise will come at a time when Chinese air activities have gone up in recent time on the other side of LAC in Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) where the Chinese Air Force has already fielded UAVs, Helicopters, and fighter jets in several airbases.

Chinese are conducting flying sorties on a regular basis near the Indian border which prompted India to respond with a massive exercise near the LAC in North Eastern sector where ‘Chicken’s Neck’ or Narrow Siliguri Corridor is vital for India to keep connection with the North Eastern states, and to protect it from Chinese attack, Indian Army and Indian Air Force has already taken several measures to counter possible Chinese attack in that area in future.
