Honeywell the maker of American Predator drone's engine, to supply engine for India's HALE UAV

Honeywell Aerospace has said that it will be supplying its 940 horsepower TPE-33110 turboprop engine to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) that will be used to power the upcoming High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle that is currently under development by the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE)  and Hindustan Aeronautics.

ADE and HAL-designed HALE UAV has similar design characteristics as the American MQ-9B Predator.

Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) has carried out joint feasibility studies with Hindustan Aeronautics and this program might have some inputs from the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).
