Japan ready to cooperate in development of AMCA, Submarines, Warships and other defence items with India: Japanese Envoy Satoshi Suzuki

The Japanese Ambassador Satoshi Suzuki has said that Japan is open to Co-develop, Co-design and Co-manufacture under ‘Make in India’ initiative in defense sector.

He said Japan is ready to cooperate on defence items like building Naval vessels and submarines and participating in 5th Generation Stealth Fighter AMCA project and also in parts, components and materials which are used in making these different platforms.

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Japan’s Toshiba Corporation are already in discussion for Lithium-ion battery technology for submarines.
