India exported Akash SAM to Sudan as per MoD report on Indian Defence Exports, which Sudanese media reported last year

The Ministry of Defence has announced that India has exported major platforms like Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS), Dornier 228 Maritime aircraft, BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles, Radar systems, Armored Vehicles, Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers and interestingly the Defence Ministry has included the Akash missile system in the list of items exported to friendly countries.

According to Sudanese media reports, Sudan had ordered the Akash missile system and it is already in service with the Sudanese Army and a scale model was also showcased in a military exhibition in August 2022.
