Russia to transfer technology of Zircon/Tsirkon hypersonic cruise missile to India for BrahMos II(K) missile

Amid the West-backed economic sanctions on the Russian Defence Industry, India has reinitiated talks with Russia for the sale of technology of the Zircon/Tsirkon Hypersonic missile that will have the same performance characteristics as the BrahMos-II(K).

The Zircon/Tsirkon Hypersonic missile has a range of 1,500 kilometers and a maximum speed of Mach 9 which is around 3.1 kilometers per second and can be launched from ships, submarines and land-based launchers.

The Russian Administration at the highest level is considering to clear India’s request for Hypersonic cruise missile technologies that will be required to develop BrahMos-II(K) Hypersonic missile.
