Srinagar Police arrested three people suspected of involvement in recent Kashmir Valley terror incidents

According to News18, the Srinagar Police arrested three people accused of participation in recent terror-related incidents in the Kashmir Valley. As part of ongoing probes to protect the peace and security in the region, the arrests are a big step forward.

Although the details of the alleged crimes and their level of involvement are still being looked into, preliminary reports indicate Danish and Imtiaz Khande may have served as Over Ground Workers (OGWs) for The Resistance Front (TRF). The likelihood of their involvement with the terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) is also being investigated.

The third suspect has been identified as Mehran, and his possible connection to the incidents is still under investigation. While maintaining cautious, top police authorities admitted the potential of a Jaish-e-Mohammad connection to recent terror activity in the region. They conveyed assurance that the arrests of these persons will furnish crucial leads and accelerate additional inquiries.

Citing continuing investigations and the necessity to safeguard operational security, the authorities have not yet made any official statements on the case’s details. Nonetheless, it is anticipated that the capture of these suspects will support continued efforts to fight terrorism and assure the security and welfare of locals.
