UK MoD tests a laser weapon ‘DragonFire’

UK conducts successful tests of its first-ever laser weapon. The high-powered laser, named ‘DragonFire’ is designed to target and neutralise drones. This offers a potentially low-cost alternative to traditional missiles. The tests were conducted in January at the Hebrides Range in Scotland. It demonstrated the weapon’s precision, with the ability to hit a coin from a kilometre away.
