Adani Defence stands on the brink of a significant achievement as it prepares to deliver two pivotal weapon systems to the Indian Army.
Scheduled for May 18th, 2024, the first delivery encompasses the eagerly awaited UAV Launched Precision Guided Munition (ULPGM). This marks the culmination of a Limited Series Production (LSP) order initiated by the Indian Army. The ULPGM, a collaborative effort between Adani Defence and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), signifies a groundbreaking leap in Indian aerial warfare.
Distinguished by its compact size, the ULPGM offers unparalleled versatility. Its diminutive stature enables launch even from lightweight quadcopters, furnishing troops with a remarkably agile and accurate strike capability. Moreover, the ULPGM incorporates jamming-resistant technology, ensuring its efficacy in hostile environments.

In tandem with the ULPGM, Adani Defence will also furnish the Very Short-Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS). This Man-Portable Air Defence System (MANPAD) stands as another testament to Indian ingenuity, conceived and developed domestically by the Research Centre Imarat (RCI) in collaboration with DRDO and industry allies.
The VSHORADS missile integrates state-of-the-art features, including a compact Reaction Control System (RCS) and integrated avionics, all rigorously tested for reliability. Driven by a dual-thrust solid motor, this missile is tailor-made to counter low-altitude aerial threats within short ranges. The system’s mobility is further augmented by its meticulously crafted design, ensuring user-friendly operation for ground troops.
The delivery of these advanced systems heralds a significant stride in the Indian Army’s modernization endeavors. The precision and adaptability of the ULPGM will equip troops with unparalleled tactical advantages, while the VSHORADS bolsters India’s capabilities in low-altitude air defense. This collaborative effort between Adani Defence, DRDO, and other Indian industry collaborators underscores the nation’s burgeoning self-sufficiency in cultivating critical defense technologies.
