A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) with the Indian Army, Naib Subedar Konsam Kheda Singh, was rescued by security forces on Friday evening in Manipur’s Thoubal district. The officer, who was on leave, had been abducted from his residence earlier that day.

Singh, a resident of Charangpat Mamang Leikai, was reportedly taken by a group of armed men at around 9 am.

Responding swiftly, the Army launched a coordinated search operation alongside other security agencies. Their efforts led to Singh’s safe recovery by 6:30 pm.

He is currently at Waikhong Police Station for further investigation into the incident.

This incident highlights the ongoing security concerns in Manipur.
