Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL) has announced that the 155 millimeters Sharan gun has been successfully inducted in three regiments of the Indian Army.

The 130 millimeters Sharang gun was upgraded to 155 millimeters that have increased its range from 27 kilometers to over 36 kilometers and the 200 crore rupees contract to upgrade 300 units will be completed in 2024.
