DRDO to commence firing trials of 155mm/52 caliber ATAGS Mounted Gun system
DRDO-BEML-Kalyani group built Truck Mounted 155mm/52 caliber ATAGS Gun System

The DRDO developed 155 millimeters/52 caliber Advanced Towed Artillery Gun (ATAGS) Mounted Gun System on BEML Heavy Mobility Vehicle, which has completed all internal trials including mobility performance and standalone internal firing trials.

The DRDO will now start user-assisted firing trials with the Indian Army in June, during which the focus will be mostly on the demonstration of the shoot-and-scoot capability of the mounted gun system as the main gun system ATAGS towed version has already undergone extensive firing trials earlier under the supervision of the Indian Army.
