Bengaluru-based Dynamatic Technologies Limited has made a major mark in the global aerospace industry by securing a contract with Airbus to manufacture and supply all door variants for the A220 family of aircraft. This landmark deal, touted as one of the largest ever placed on an Indian manufacturer by a global aviation OEM, signifies a significant step forward for India’s aerospace capabilities.

Under the agreement, Dynamatic Technologies will take responsibility for manufacturing and assembling eight doors per aircraft:

  • Cargo doors
  • Passenger doors
  • Service doors
  • Overhang emergency exit doors

This comprehensive portfolio highlights the company’s expertise in precision engineering and complex aerostructure fabrication.

The financial details of the contract remain undisclosed, but the sheer scale of the project underscores its importance for both parties. Dynamatic Technologies is expected to begin deliveries early next year, marking a significant boost to its production capacity and workforce.

For Airbus, this collaboration strengthens its “Make in India” initiative and expands its sourcing network within the country. With India’s growing aviation market and ambitious aerospace aspirations, partnerships like this create a win-win situation for both companies.

The deal’s significance extends beyond its commercial value. It demonstrates India’s growing capabilities in advanced manufacturing and its potential to become a major player in the global aerospace supply chain. It also inspires other Indian companies to strive for excellence and pursue opportunities in the international aviation market.

This landmark partnership between Dynamatic Technologies and Airbus paves the way for further collaboration and innovation within the Indian aerospace sector, positioning India as a key contributor to the future of global aviation.
