As per French Media report, India to announce Rafale-M as winner of Indian Navy MRCBF during PM Modi’s France visit in July this year

French media Avions Legendaires has reported that India might announce Dassault Aviation’s Rafale Marine as the winner of the Indian Navy’s Multi Role Carrier Borne Fighter (MRCBF) requirements for 26 units during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France in July this year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the Chief Guest at the Bastille Day Military Parade 2023 that will be held in Paris on 14th of July 2023.

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) will clear purchase of 26 Rafael Marine very soon but the chances of a deal being signed by July is highly impossible since it still needs to go through multiple rounds of process that might take several months as we all are aware of Indian Bureaucratic Red tapism and delays in Defence procurements, although the current NDA Govt led by Prime Minister Modi has reduced Red tapism at some extent but still we have a long way to go.
