IIT Delhi designs lightest ever bullet proof jacket for the Indian Soldiers

Delhi News: Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi have made such a bulletproof jacket, which is the lightest bulletproof jacket ever made in the country, to protect the Indian soldiers deployed in the defense of the country. Despite being light, adequate security arrangements have been made in this modern bulletproof jacket. This jacket is capable of withstanding 8 AK-47 HSC and 6 sniper API bullets respectively.

Convenience even during movement

This modern bulletproof jacket with advanced ballistic high energy defeat has been indigenously designed and developed by IIT Delhi at DRDO Industry Academia Center of Excellence. Not only in the country but also globally, this MADE IN INDIA Bulletproof Jacket is offering the lightest solution. One of the most striking features of this jacket is its durability, which ages and remains as strong as it was when it was first introduced. This is a matter of great pride for India, because till now we were dependent on other countries of the world for the bulletproof jackets necessary for the safety of the soldiers of the country. At the same time, the researchers of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi have made such a bulletproof jacket, which not only strengthens the security of the soldiers of our country, but also because of its lightness, the soldiers are also comfortable in the movement, which in itself A fine example of excellence.

30% lighter than current jacket

This jacket, made for the safety of soldiers, weighs less than the jacket made in America. Professor Naresh Bhatnagar and Professor Ranjan Banerjee of IIT Delhi told that it is the most protective jacket and lighter than the bulletproof jacket made in America. This indigenous bulletproof jacket will soon be provided to the jawans. The professor told that we have been working on this jacket for many years and our goal was to make it light with strength. Finally, after many years of hard work, our hard work paid off and this jacket is 25 to 30 percent lighter than the bulletproof jackets being used earlier. Let us tell you that the weight of the bulletproof jacket currently used by Indian soldiers is about 10.5 kg.
