The Eastern Command of the Indian Army recently showcased the formidable firepower of the indigenous Pinaka Rocket Launchers during a live-fire demonstration at the Pokhran Field Firing Ranges. General Pierre Schill, Chief of Army Staff of the French Army, witnessed this display of India’s military capabilities.

Pinaka Rocket Launchers Demonstration

The Rising Sun Artillery conducted the live-fire demonstration, demonstrating the precision and impact of the Pinaka Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). The Pinaka system, designed and manufactured in India, reflects the nation’s commitment to self-reliance and advancement in military technology.

Strengthening Defense Capabilities

The demonstration also featured the Tata Loitering Munition systems, highlighting India’s continuous efforts to enhance its defense capabilities with silent and precise weapons systems.

  • Rapid Fire: Can launch 12 rockets in 44 seconds
  • Mobility: Mounted on Tatra trucks for swift deployment
  • Historical Significance: Played a critical role in the Kargil War
