Indian Army to procure 1,000 Multipurpose Thermal Monocular Sight with Laser Range Finder (MTMSL)

The Ministry of Defense intends to procure 1,000 Multi-Purpose Thermal Monocular (MTMSL) sight with Laser Rangefinder under the β€˜Buy Indian’ category under fast track procurement for the Indian Army.

It must have a minimum 60% indigenous content and must detect targets at 1,800 meters and should not weigh more than 5 kilograms including battery mount.

It will enhance conventional as well as counter-terror operations by performing multiple functions like day and night surveillance with a laser rangefinder.
