Indian Army to procure 1,000 Multipurpose Thermal Monocular Sight with Laser Range Finder (MTMSL)

Indian Army to procure 1,000 Multipurpose Thermal Monocular Sight with Laser Range Finder (MTMSL)

The Ministry of Defense intends to procure 1,000 Multi-Purpose Thermal Monocular (MTMSL) sight with Laser Rangefinder under the ‘Buy Indian’ category under fast track procurement for the Indian Army.

It must have a minimum 60% indigenous content and must detect targets at 1,800 meters and should not weigh more than 5 kilograms including battery mount.

It will enhance conventional as well as counter-terror operations by performing multiple functions like day and night surveillance with a laser rangefinder.
