Indian defence firm Astra Premier develops Raksaka UGV

Indian defence firm Astra Premier has developed an Unmanned Ground Vehicle system known as Rakshak that consists of a four-wheel differential drive, onboard processor, ultrasonic sensors and infrared sensors, GPS navigation, and Battery Management System (BMS).

It can carry a payload of 100 kilograms and has a battery backup of 8 hours, it can serve as a robust research platform and has the capability to operate both indoors and outdoors. It has a high-end, compact, computer on-board that allows easy processing of high volumes of data gotten from sensors such as 3D LIDARS, GNSS/INS system, and Stereo Camera Systems.
