Indian Navy Super Aircraft Carrier under planning may cost $5 billion
The Indian Navy plans to develop a Super Aircraft Carrier that will have a displacement of over 65,000 tons and the Navy has estimated that it will cost over $5 billion dollars.
The state-of-the-art and most powerful and advanced Aircraft Carrier to be ever operated by the Indian Navy will feature the latest generation of Electromagnetic Catapults and Advanced Arresting Gear that will alone cost over $1 billion dollars which will enable the Navy to operate HALE class UAVs, Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle and TEDBF (5th generation minus) aircraft.
The Super Aircraft Carrier will replace the INS Vikramaditya when it is due for its retirement in post-2028.
