At the 63rd Foundation Day Celebrations of National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) an integrated wind tunnel model of the Tejas Mk2 was displayed which showed that the air take design has now angled backward and the position of the air intake seems to have been revised and is now located forward of the main wing and closer to the canopy section.

The infrared surge and track sensor have also been moved from the left side to the right side of the nose of the aircraft.

The Tejas Mk2 model is also seen with a spill duct placed just over the wing that will reduce airflow at subsonic speeds.
