3 Pvt Sector Firms respond to DRDO's RFP for 7.62x51mm LMG

Three Private Sector firms including SSS Defense, Kalyani Strategic Systems and Lokesh Machines Limited have responded to the DRDO’s Request For Proposal (RFP) to develop an indigenous 7.62 X 51 millimeters Light Machine Gun (LMG).

The delivery of one batch of LMGs will be done within 30 months of date of placement of contract and a total of 25 units will be delivered in batches for testing and it will have a range of at least 800 meters and a muzzle velocity of 800 meters per second.
