ADE's HALE class UAV to be part of CATS program; Two different variants of HALE class UAV will be there
Combat Air Teaming Systems (CATS) program diagram by HAL


Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is developing two HALE (High Altitude Long Endurance) class UAVs that will play a crucial part in the CATS program which is an Indian Unmanned Combat Aircraft Air Teaming System Program.

The first HALE class UAV is classified as HALE TP that will be powered by TurboProp engine while the second HALE class UAV is classified as HALE TF that will be powered by a TurboFan engine that will perform high altitude surveillance and autonomous deep penetration, precision strikes from a standoff distance.
