Airbus looking for Indian partners to serve as local supply chain for the A-400M aircraft offered to IAF under MTA program

Airbus Defense and space officials visited India to explore potential partnerships for the supply chain of the Airbus A-400M Atlas transport aircraft that is currently manufactured in the city of Seville, Spain where 16 Airbus C-295 medium transport aircraft is also being manufactured for the Indian Air Force.

Airbus officials visited Dynamatic Technologies Limited in Bangalore that specializes in the design and manufacture of complex air structures for aircraft.

Airbus has offered its A-400M Atlas transport aircraft to the Indian Air Force under the 80 Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) program with local manufacturing by the TATA Airbus joint venture that will manufacture remaining 40 C-295 of the 56 contracted by Indian Air Force with the Airbus Defense last year, in a new plant in Gujarat.
