ATAGS based MGS to carry out further trials
ATAGS based 155 millimeters/ 52 caliber Mounted Gun System (MGS) displayed in the Defence Expo 2022


The DRDO is all set to conduct firing trials of the ATAGS-based 155 millimeters/ 52 caliber Mounted Gun System (MGS) in the field range before it starts user trials by the Indian Army.

The ATAGS-based Mounted Gun System was developed to meet Army requirement for 800 gun-mounted wheel platforms and as the ATAGS Howitzer has already completed user validation trials the Army is expected to complete the user trials of the mounted gun system by end of 2023.
