The first bulk order for the 155 millimeters by 52 caliber Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) is being framed and orders for 150 units will be placed in early 2023.

Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) and Bharat Forge Limited will split the order that will be used to remove any teething issues in the production line and refine the product over the period.

Bharat Forge’s Garuda 105 millimeters by 37 caliber ultralight jeep mounted gun will soon get clearance from the Indian Army that will lead to orders by mid-2023.

The MArG (Mountain Artillery Gun) Extended Range 155 millimeters by 39 caliber gun system mounted on a 4×4 platform is also under Army trials for the last few months and is likely to emerge as a front-runner for the Army requirement.
