BEML in collaboration with IIT-Kanpur completes trials of 25 kilogram-class Tactical UAV
Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-Kanpur) has completed internal trials of its indigenously developed 25 kilograms class Tactical UAV and discussions are underway with the Indian Army for conducting user trials.
It can carry versatile payloads weighing up to 3 kilograms and possesses the capability to take off and land on short runways, maintain continuous flight for 8 hours and has a radio range of 50 kilometers.
Indian Army has already expressed its desires for small size tactical UAVs and asked IIT Kanpur to think on it, and over that request IIT-Kanpur in collaboration with BEML produced this UAV on demand of the Indian Army.
