DRDO DG asks DLRL to start exporting Electronic Warfare Systems in upcoming years
DRDO developed Electronic Warfare (EW) systems



Hyderabad: Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Director General (Electronics & Communication Systems) Dr BK Das on Saturday advised Defence Electronics Research Laboratory (DLRL), to make it their mission to create cutting-edge technology and start exporting EW systems in the upcoming years, Addressing the 61st annual day celebration of the DLRL, a premier lab of DRDO, here, Dr Das stressed the significance of preparing for the constantly evolving field of Electronic Warfare and the steadily rising demands placed on the services in this specialized area.

In order to accelerate product development, he emphasized the importance of integrating academic institutions and industry partners. He praised DLRL for their efforts in developing EW systems on platforms right from submarine to space. The DRDO DG urged the lab to rise to the occasion, take on the challenges and create indigenous systems that the armed forces would be proud of.

DLRL is a pioneer in designing and developing cutting-edge Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems for Armed Forces & Paramilitary services. The welcome speech was delivered by Dr M Chakravarthy, Chairman of the Central Organising Committee. On the occasion, DLRL Director N Srinivas Rao brought out the major achievements by the lab during the last one year and milestones reached in developing and inducting electronic warfare systems for the tri-services.

DLRL organized various sports and cultural events as part of annual day celebrations. Directors of DRDO labs, former Directors of DLRL, Financial Adviser and Heads of Production Agencies attended the ceremony along with DLRL employees and their family members.
