India to upgrade T-90 tanks with modern sensors and sub systems

Heavy Vehicles Factory Avadi will start upgrading the original batch of T-90 main battle tanks that had come from Russiain completely knocked down condition as they are up for a complete overhaul.

These tanks will also undergo upgradation of Automatic Target Tracker, Digital Ballistic Computer, Auxiliary Power Unit, See-Through Armor, Commanders Panoramic Sight and Driver’s Night Sight.

The next batch of T-90 tanks will undergo more comprehensive upgrades and will include specialized technology like Loitering Munitions, Artificial Intelligence, Drone integration and Active Protection systems.
