DRDO Unveils Powerful Wheeled CBRN Vehicle, developed in partnership with Mahindra Defence, at MSME Defence Expo 2024 in Pune

DRDO has revealed its latest innovation at the MSME Defence Expo 2024 in Pune – the powerful Wheeled CBRN 8×8 vehicle, developed in collaboration with Mahindra Defence. This cutting-edge vehicle is set to revolutionize defense technology, particularly in handling chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats.

Features and Capabilities

The Wheeled CBRN vehicle boasts a 600 horsepower engine and an 8×8 wheel configuration, ensuring its capability to traverse challenging terrains with ease. Its advanced detection and neutralization systems make it an indispensable tool for identifying and neutralizing CBRN hazards, thus protecting lives and assets.

Customizable Roles

As part of DRDO’s Armoured Vehicle and Land System program, the Wheeled CBRN vehicle can be customized to serve various purposes. Its versatility allows it to swiftly navigate rough terrains, detect and eliminate threats, and safeguard personnel in hazardous environments.

Expo Showcase

The MSME Defence Expo, which took place from February 24th to 26th at the Pune International Exhibition and Convention Center (PIECC), provided a unique opportunity for attendees to witness this technological marvel firsthand. With the completion of testing and its imminent commissioning, the Wheeled CBRN vehicle is set to significantly enhance India’s defense capabilities.
