IAC-II to host UCAVs and HALE class UAVs on its deck : Indian Navy Chief

The Indian Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar has said that the Navy will procure a 2nd 45,000-ton Vikrant-class Aircraft Carrier and the purpose of this proposal is to capitalize on the trained workforce but it will undergo design changes to accommodate Next Generation platforms such as Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles (UCAV) and HALE (High Altitude Long Endurance) class UAVs on its flight deck for maritime operations.

Cochin Shipyard Limited is confident that it can reduce the construction time for the second aircraft carrier to eight years with the desired changes and modifications requested by the Indian Navy. IAC-II to host UCAVs and HALE class UAVs on its deck : Indian Navy Chief IgMp
