Indian Unmanned Strike Air Vehicle : Indian Navy considering Deck-based IUSAV for future super carriers
SWIFT Autonomous Flying Wing Technology Demonstrator during testing

After the recent successful test of the SWIFT Autonomous Flying Wing Technology Demonstrator, now reports have emerged that India is planning to make a bigger Indian Unmanned Strike Air Vehicle (IUSAV) whose airframe, undercarriage, and entire flight control and avionics systems will become mature around 2025 including its Kaveri dry variant engine.

The 13 ton Indian Unmanned Strike Air Vehicle (IUSAV) will not only adopt Flying Wing Stealth Design but will have many of the Next Generation capabilities in Electronic Warfare (EW) to survive in highly contested air environments.

It will have a very long endurance and range and will carry heavier air to surface payload and can be armed with air-to-air missiles for its protection.

The Indian Unmanned Strike Air Vehicle (IUSAV) will also team up with the AMCA 5thGeneration Stealth Fighter for destroying highly defended targets.

The Indian Navy is closely monitoring the program that could lead to the development of a Aircraft Carrier-based variant to be operated from future larger super carriers under planning.
