The Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Mr. Dinesh Kumar Batra has said that the Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile (QR-SAM) has cleared all user trials and the contract for QR-SAM will be concluded this year and the induction will start by June 2024.

On the leakage of some details of the Swathi Weapon Locating Radar by an Armenian Army Captain to a foreign agency, the Chairman has said that broader specifications of the Swathi radar are already in the public domain and even leakage of some other details of the radar will not have any impact on the export prospects since the technology of the radar is more important than design details and other parameters as hardware and software is not shared to even the export customers.
