The Marketing Director of Aeronautics at Sabena has said that Swedish Aerospace company SAAB has established the maintenance, transfer of technology of Integrated Defense Aids Suite (IDAS) system at Hindustan Aeronautics’s Avionics Division in Hyderabad.
SAAB is in final stages with the production transfer of technology of its Integrated Defense Aids Suite (IDAS) system to Hindustan Aeronautics including the future IDAS-3 version in India.
The system allows the aircraft sensors to detect missiles, radars and laser threats from any position relative to the aircraft and once a hostile target is detected the system selects semi or completely automated response with counter measures dispensing.
