The Director of the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) has said that the NP-1 and NP-2 Naval Tejas prototypes will now be modified to become test beds for the Manned/Unmanned Teaming program.

The Indian Navy and Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) have also discussed developing Unmanned Fighter jets for Aircraft Carrier operations that can be used for strike missions alongside manned fighter jets like the TEDBF and Rafale-Marine.
