AWEIL offers 155mm/52 Calibre version of Dhanush howitzer to the Indian Army under the RFI issued for 400 such guns

Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Ltd (AWEIL) has said that the company will be responding to the Indian Army Request For Information (RFI) to acquire 400 units of 155mm/52 caliber Towed Artillery gun systems.

AWEIL will offer its 155mm/52 caliber version of Dhanush howitzer that was developed on the baseline 155mm/45 caliber Dhanush howitzer that was already ordered by the Indian Army in 2019 for 114 units.

Dhanush will see competition from DRDO’s ATAGS, Bharat Forge Kalayni group’s Bharat-52 and ULH-ER and possibly Adani-Elbit ATHOS 2052 howitzers in the RFI issued by the Indian Army.
