HAL Chairman confirms India close to bagging Tejas deal with Argentina

The Chairman of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has said that talks are progressing positively for Tejas deal with Argentina and a small contract is expected soon.

He also added that Argentina is interested in acquiring at least 15 Tejas Mark 1Aaircraft and Argentine pilots have already tested the fighter jet in India.

Hindustan Aeronautics is also working to ensure that the delivery of Tejas Mark1A is made faster than the contract terms of the Indian Air Force order for 83 jets, in order to grab a follow-on order for 50 more Mark 1A Tejas jets.
