HAL successfully completes Limited Series Production of 15 Prachand LCH for Indian Army and IAF

The officials of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) have announced that the company has successfully completed the limited series production of 15 Prachand Light Combat Helicopters (LCH) at a cost of Rs 3,887 crores and with 45% indigenous content.

The Indian Army is eagerly awaiting the commencement of trials for the HELINA (Helicopter Launched NAG ATGM) Anti-Tank Guided Missile from the Prachand LCH in the middle of 2023 and want to complete the integration process by the end of 2023 after which the Army and Air Force will acquire 90 and 65 more units respectively.

The indigenous content in the Prachand LCH will progressively increase to more than 55% in Phase 2 as well as integration of additional user required systems and modifications. HAL successfully completes Limited Series Production of 15 Prachand LCH for Indian Army and IAF IgMp
