Indian Army issues RFI to procure 8X8 High Mobility Vehicles, 823 for transportation of heavy vehicles and 259 for Material Handling Cranes
The Indian Army has issued a Request For Information (RFI) to procure 823 units of 8×8 High Mobility Vehicles (HMVs) for general service that will be used for the transportation of heavy equipment including towing of trailers loaded with tanks and other equipment weighing up to 50 tons and with payload capacity not less than 12,000 kilograms on the Highway.
The Indian Army is also procuring 259 8×8 High Mobility vehicles with Material Handling cranes of two-ton capacity and will be used for handling of stores to save man hours and also improve their efficiency.
