Indian Firm to Manufacture AR/VR Firefighting Tools and Cargo Pallets for Indian Air Force

In a significant development, Classic Tecnologistics and Trade Pvt Ltd (CTTPL) has secured contracts from the Indian Air Force (IAF) to manufacture augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) firefighting operation training tools along with cargo pallets. This marks a crucial step towards India’s self-reliance in defense manufacturing, aligning with the Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) initiative.

CTTPL, based in Odisha with its headquarters in Delhi, is the first Indian company to undertake the production of these tools and cargo pallets, which were previously imported from the United States. The products have been developed in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai.

The AR/VR firefighting operation tool is a high-end strategic product in the realm of defense avionics. It will be used by IAF engineers for training purposes and is technologically competitive on a global scale. The company will manufacture these products at its facilities in Berhampur and Noida.

Alongside these groundbreaking products, CTTPL has also secured contracts for mobile container kitchens, field toilets, and operational container shelters, which will be utilized by the Indian Air Force to enhance its operational capabilities.

The IAF’s decision to award contracts worth nearly Rs 50 crore to CTTPL reflects its commitment to promoting indigenous defense manufacturing and self-reliance in the sector. This move aligns with India’s broader vision of reducing dependency on foreign imports and fostering domestic production capabilities.

CTTPL’s Managing Director, Ravi Agarwal, expressed his enthusiasm about the contracts, highlighting that they solidify the company’s position as a key partner in India’s defense and logistics sectors. He mentioned that five contracts valued at approximately Rs 90 crore have been awarded to CTTPL. These contracts fall under the IAF’s emergency procurement and will significantly contribute to bolstering the country’s defense and logistics infrastructure.

With a focus on benchmark quality, reliability, and technological advancement, CTTPL is poised for further growth in the defense and internal security sectors. The company’s strategic partnerships with firms in the USA, Canada, and the UK further underscore its commitment to excellence in the field of defense manufacturing.
