The Indian Air Force has released a Request For Information (RFI) for the development of a new Electronic and Communication Intelligence System (ELINT) mounted on a 10 tonne Stallion 6×6 Truck featuring bulletproof cabin along with Nuclear-Biological-Chemical (NBC) protection. It should be able to operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 50°C and at an altitude of 16,000 feet.

The Air Force has asked the industry to develop the system from commercial off-the-shelf hardware and software that is already available in the open market which means that no development of specialized components in the project.

The system will be deployed to collect and analyze information pertaining to radio signal emissions by enemy radars and transmission systems within a defined frequency range and detect modulation of all known techniques.
