The SWiFT technology demonstrator had already exhibited flawless performance including takeoff waypoint navigation and a smooth touchdown all while operating in a fully autonomous mode and latest reports indicate that after the conclusion of all tests conducted by the SWiFT technology demonstrator, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) will approve the development of a stealth unmanned combat aerial vehicle program by mid-2024.
The Indian Air Force is expected to order a minimum of 100 stealth UCAFs that will possess both strike and reconnaissance capabilities.
The Indian Navy is already holding discussions to collaborate on the program to develop a deck-based UCAF variant that will complement the TEDBF fighter jets and unmanned loyal wingman.
